A friend at work made oatmeal cookies the other day and left a little bag of them on my desk. They tasted like a cookie I didn't even know that I wanted to eat.
Then I found this recipe and decided that this afternoon, I might try to get these made. Maybe for soccer snack? Maybe they'll make it to the soccer field, if my people don't eat them.
It's Friday, cookies or cocktails? You make the call.
3/4 cup of butter, at room temperature
3/4 cup of brown sugar
1 egg, at room temperature
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cup of oats
1 cup of flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 cups of chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Cream together the butter, sugar and egg. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.
Place 1 teaspoon-sized balls of dough on a greased or parchment-paper lined cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes.
Makes four dozen.
Don't these sound delish?
