I apologize for the total delay in posting. I guess I could write as though nothing changed and it's a minor blip in the radar. I won't.
I moved. I did it. My first move all on my own, without anyone to tell me no or yes or anything. The apartment feels bigger, feels better, feels more like home.
Granted, the electrical issues aside (flicker, flicker, darkness)I didn't move very far. The little man showed some signs of distress at moving, then immediately settled in. I simply explained that this couldn't be considered a real move, rather a move-lite. Real moves mean boxes and driving, going through the DPT to reserve spaces. Real moves involve crying - although with my couch we came close. THANK YOU FTC.
I didn't do too much cooking over the weekend, well, because I moved. However, I can say that the Potato Leek Fish dish is so, so yummy. Don't use chicken stock, use Pomelo instead. The wine gives the dish a citrusy feel that tastes great.
I can also report that the way to make friends and influence people is to always have fish, salsa, olives, capers, and onions in the fridge ready to make a Veracruz. You just should.
Also, the highlight of the weekend of craziness most definitely involved the Murder City Devils. The chef is a great singer and I, apparently, am quite the thief. I stole his belt and his money, which I returned very nicely the next morning. You gotta be close friends of mine to get the details on that story, suffice to say I slept in very late the next morning.
The week in review will return soon. Maybe this weekend. Most likely on Sunday.
February can bite my ass,
